Friends of the NRSO

As of 2006, the NRSO has established a Friends of the NRSO club. This provides opportunities for loyal and dedicated concert-goers to enjoy special privileges while assisting the NRSO to offset the huge cost of maintaining our mailing list. Basic membership in the club entitles the patron to a 10% discount on tickets to our Seagulls Club concerts, while more generous patrons can become Supporters and gain acknowledgement in our printed programmes.

All memberships and supports are on an annual basis, running from 1 April until 31 March the next year. Details of the club benefits and how to join are listed below.

Friends of the NRSO

A contribution of $15 per annum will provide the member with a unique number to be used when booking tickets for NRSO concerts at Seagulls Club. Quoting the number will entitle the member to a 10% discount on one ticket per event. Note that if a couple wishes to purchase two discounted tickets, both individuals must  pay the annual membership fee and each quote their respective booking number to receive the discount.

NRSO Supporters

For those patrons who wish to contribute a more generous amount, two levels of support are available. Supporters receive the same discounted ticket offer available to Friends of the NRSO, with the exception that a single Supporter will obtain two discounted tickets per event. In addition, Supporters are entitled to supplementary benefits depending on support level (Gold or Silver) as detailed in the table below:

SUPPORT LEVEL CONTRIBUTION BENEFITS
Gold $100 / yr.
  • 10% "Friends" discount on 2 tickets per event at Seagulls Club
  • 10% discount on all NRSO CDs purchased
  • Supporter's name published in each concert programme
  • Opportunity to sponsor a specific instrument chair in the orchestra
Silver $50 / yr.
  • 10% "Friends" discount on 2 tickets per event at Seagulls Club
  • 10% discount on all NRSO CDs purchased
  • Supporter's name published in each concert programme
